Game 5 in Detroit is huge

Posted by: Tim Redinger

The Pittsburgh Penguins looked ready to roll over and, well for lack of a better term, “quack” after the first two games in Detroit.

Now it looks like we are watching this series through a revolving mirror, as the young Penguins appear to have the Detroit Dynasty on the ropes.

Game Five has now become a crucial turning point in the game, with a Detroit win, they mantain control of home ice advantage, which so far has been huge in the series.

If Pittsburgh skates into Hockeytown and beats the Red Wings in game five, I don’t think it will matter if the series goes six or seven games, Crosby and Malkin will lift the cup.
