Flyers push Sabres around

The Boston Bruins need to look out tonight.  The Sabres do not like to have five goals scored on them, and the Philadelphia Flyers did just that Friday night.

Through the first 12 games of the regular season, it looked as though the Sabres had overcome one of their biggest downfalls – not being tough enough.  Granted, the off game will come, but things looked promising.  And then Philly came to town.

The highlight of the night had to be the jerseys.  Although done as a maketing ploy by the Philadelphia Flyers, it was amazing to see WHITE home jerseys.  The act will be repeated in Philadelphia later this year to give the Sabres a chance to show off their blue sweaters in Philly.

The Flyers wore dark uniforms, and allowed their darker side to show through.  Not that they played a dirty game, they just beat the Sabres in every aspect of the game.

The last time the Sabres were embarassed with that type of score, they responded with a shutout.  With the possibility of Jhonas Enroth in net tonight against the struggling B’s, I am just hoping for a quality 60 minute road game.

So far the motto has been don’t lose two in a row.  As history will tell us, there is always a first for everything.
