Can the Sabres figure out three in four nights?

Last weekend was probably the worst weekend to be a Sabres fan so far this year.  The only thing that could have made it look worse was an injury to Ryan Miller or Tim Connelly, but then, that would look too normal.

The Sabres fought of the Oilers last night, in a game that I missed largerly in part thanks to a massive migraine.  Note to self, don’t fall asleep in bathtub, water gets cold.  What I won’t miss is either game Friday or Saturday night.  I am hoping the Sabres can figure out how to win on these nights.  The Friday night game should be no contest, your rested after playing a home game, you haven’t had to travel anywhere.  Saturday you just need to play a safe “road” game and come out with some points?  Sounds simple right?

Just as simple as making that extra pass on the power play.

Leading up to the game Friday night against Calgary, the Sabres might be without Mike Grier, but will have Patrick Lalime back behind the bench, or scarier yet, to be in the net.  Grier missed practice today with a groin injury that is keeping him day to day.  Brought back for his grit and leadership, Grier has added that and more to this team.

Enroth didn’t have to go far to rejoin his Portland Pirates – they are in town tonight as the old and the new square of as the Pirates face the Americans at HSBC Arena.
