Sabres Gamenight: Pittsburgh Penguins

The Sabres play host to the  Penguins tonight, and the Sabres are hoping to get back on a winning streak disrupted by Ottawa restarted against Toronto.  A win would pull Buffalo two points closer to Washington and New Jersey – and pull them further ahead of the rest of the Northeast.

Everyone in the Northeast is on the ice tonight – so the Sabres have to win to avoid losing control of the Division.

The Sabres will need a team effort to get out of this one in fair shape, as they will not have Olympian Ryan Miller in net – the Sabres will most likely skate in front of Lalime, whose numbers are pitiful but is coming off a strong game against Chicago.

Pittsburgh enters tonights contest completely healthy.  The Sabres are without bruiser Pat Kaleta (concussion) and Gerbe is still questionable (groin).

Energy will be the issue of the evening as Buffalo played last night – a game they were not all into until Toskala gave them an excuse to play.  Pittsburgh is coming off a night off.

Im stuck working for this one – so it is a radio only night for me, unless I can get one of the various freebie internet sites working.
