Sabres don't get help from Southeast division, Ottawa wins

Delaying the inevitable, the Ottawa Senators held on and defeated the Hurricanes tonight, so the Sabres lead on the division is now down to five.  Despite getting help in building a lead from Tampa Bay and Florida, the Hurricanes could not hold on to defeat the hot Senators.

The Sabres still hold the extra ace in the hole; and can still put the division away without outside help, but they need to stop losing.  The Sabres have a night off before playing in Montreal, another division foe.  Now is not the time to be getting into a slump.
