Streak ends at 10, Sabres fail to clinch division

The Buffalo Sabres mailed it in tonight, coming from behind twice, but not enough to pick up two points that could have sealed the Northeast Division.

What could be seen as a good sign, is an era of domination has come to an end.  The Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Buffalo Sabres, in the last eleven games between the two teams they are now 1-10.  That has to give the Buffalo Sabres some hope going into their game against Ottawa, knowing that some funks can be shaken.

Playing Miller tonight made sense if you were running for the division title, but with the added stress of the Olympic year, and already in the playoffs, there should be no reason he should be playing on back to back nights.  At most in the playoffs he will be playing every other night, so the Sabres should be using Lalime as much as possible until the quest begins.
