Game 1 Conference Finals

Sunday May 16, 2010 saw both conference finals start.  The NBC matinee of Chicago vs. San Jose did not fail the fails in what those teams represented.  Close hockey.  Chicago was able to overcome a parade to the penalty box to take a 2-1 win in San Jose, and stealing an early 1-0 series lead.

On the versus evening game, Philadelphia treated Halak to a tanning session, and despite being airtight and solid against Pittsburgh and Washington, Halak found himself watching a playoff game ans the Flyers routed the underdog Canadiens 6-0 in game one.  I wouldn’t count Montreal out against the Flyers though, as they have lost every game One so far this year, Pittsburgh beat them 6 – 3, and Washington won 3-2.

Game 2 for both series is on Tuesday, with the East at 7PM (Versus or CBC) and the West at 10PM (VS or TSN).

Topics: Chicago Blackhawks, Halak, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, Washington Capitals
