The stage is set; and Act One is in Philadelphia. This isn’t just a hockey game anymore, Lord Stanley himself will be present and on hand. Starting at 8 PM EST – we could be seeing the final minutes of hockey for the 2009-2010 season.
Despite the fact that the City of Chicago has their collective breath held for tonights game, and would love to breath a 49 year old sigh of relief tonight, those of us fans of the game are hoping for a Friday Night Hockey Bash so we can have hockey if not but for two more days. (And those Flyers fans are hoping to see an orange and white jersey lift the Stanley Cup).
Keys to the game:
Chicago – play game six the way you played game five. If you can shut down Chris Pronger again (boy did he have the most terrible game of his career the other night) and run the score up – the cup shall be yours.
Flyers – Pronger needs to get his head right, and Leighton needs to play more like the Brodeur of old – and not the Emery of now.
It should be a most interesting game, and I still stand by my Philly in Seven prediction. I just have a feeling the Cup shall remain in Pennsylvania for one more year.
Join us for a CoveritLive session! I will be moderating for Frank from The Rat Trick tonight, as he will be following his home town team on hopefully their Stanley Cup win tonight!
