Sabres Hold Annual Development Camp

The Sabres held their annual rookie/prospect developmental camp today. In attendance were first round pick Mark Pysyk, newly re-signed Cody McCormick, Jhonas Enroth, rookie of the year Tyler Myers and a surprise visit from the controversial Zack Kassian. Its good to see players skating and going through drills again. It seems like the season just ended but the youngsters can never get started too soon. The player I was most excited to see at the camp was Zack Kassian, its been a whirlwind of rumors if Buffalo will take a chance on him given his off ice problems or not; this would appear they are still interested in his services. Some might question why Tyler Myers was made to attend the camp but as he said in an interview its standard procedure for a team to do so to a player under a rookie contract. He also added that he welcomed the extra work. Seeing players skating and wearing the pads brings images of training camp… just too bad there will be A LOT of familiar faces and not many new ones like usual.
