The arbitrator decided Kennedy’s numbers and play was worth one million dollars. Evidently since that price is lower than $1,611,180 the Buffalo Sabres are not able to walk away from the deal and must accept it. Tim Kennedy had 26 points last season, and played essentially on every line at some point during the year. He had flashes of brilliance, and showed his age sometimes as well. This year though he knows what to expect and how to prepare for it, I expect to see Kennedy’s numbers increase which means he will be asking for more money the same time next year!

Mike you beat me to it. I’ll just add my comments here. I don’t think Tim Kennedy is worth a million a year yet. But we shall see. He has shown the ability to earn that amount, but at one point so did Tim Connolly.
I think he has another brilliantish year, the Sabres are going to watch a prospect walk out the door and sign a big deal somewhere else as a UFA.
The Sabres fear of negotiating a contract during the season might extinguish the hopes of keeping Kennedy on beyond the 2010-2011 season.
i have been a fan since 1985 the only numbers i see here are (how much can i make)cant i make more? that is called greed.Players will argue that its the sport and what if i get injured? play the dam game for your city and state!!!dont worry you will get enough money to take care of your family!!!(your all spoiled with your agents that need money to. the fans know what your crying about!!
