Darcy Regier rolled out the red carpet to the media today, and basically said, my boss is a cheap bastard.
There is no other way around it. The Buffalo Sabres did not want to keep Tim Kennedy on the payroll for a million dollars for one year.
There not replacing him, there not paving the way for another deal. It’s over for this off season. Nothing.
So here we sit again, pondering the what ifs. What if we were able to attract a decent free agent? This is another sign to would be free agents that might get the chance to sign in Buffalo. Don’t come here, if you cost more than they think you are worth, they will find away to get rid of you.
This organization continues to wonder why they can’t win, and why they get such a negative backlash when they suck, well all you have to do is look at what happened with Tim Kennedy.
And don’t think that because I started this post with the words Darcy Regier that I blame this on him. He said it himself. We are over budget.
Over budget. HA.
There is always hope, and hell, the Bills play in Toronto! What a joke.
