Nine years ago at this time, many of us were still sitting in our homes pondering the events of the day. Many more were still battling the events first hand in New York City, Washington, D.C., and a small field in Pennsylvania. Others still were preparing for direct armed conflict in a foreign land to retaliate against a cowardly enemy.
As we sit here, nine years later focusing on one date, September 18, 2010 – the start of the 2010-2011 season, may we never forget those that have loved, lost, and fought that we might remain a mighty and free nation.
At no point will we falter, at no point will we be intimidated, and at no point will we fall under the great hypnotism and fear of terrorism.
Thank you to all of those who have struggled, left loved ones behind, and have paved a way for my children to share in the great traditions of the United States of America. Your sacrifices, much like the events of September 11, 2001 will not be forgotten. Thank you.
