The Los Angeles Kings are one of the better teams in the NHL right now, but are stuck in a two game rut. The Sabres are hoping that coupled with the coast to coast travel will have them waiting for the buses around 730PM tonight.
The Buffalo Sabres are looking to get back on track after losing a close one to the Washington Capitals. Really the only reason that game was as close as the score said it was – about 48 seconds of play where the Sabres caught Washington napping.
The Sabres have been playing better as of late – but still find themselves staring up at a mountain of teams – and not able to put together the wins at home to climb the standings. The Sabres might get some assistance from Pat Kaleta – a player who usually brings an intense amount of energy when he returns to the lineup. The Buffalo Sabres have a dangerous goal differential, scoring only 2.55 goals a game, but allowing their opponents to net an average of 3.20. While Jordan Leopold and Steve Montador have been doing their fair share to increase and decrease those figures respectively, the Sabres desperately need their core, their top six forwards to start contributing more on the score sheet.
Should be a fun game, last time the Sabres played a western conference foe it was the Dallas Stars, and the two teams played like they were meeting for the sixth time of the year, with lots of bad blood.
Check out the new poll posted today – Where do you think the Sabres will finish in the rankings this year?
