The Buffalo Sabres have had five days off, and hopefully those five days will have them looking for a winning way of doing business, as opposed to their sub .500 first two months of the season.
While the Buffalo Sabres continue to look for the answer that is going to put them on the right track – The Columbus Blue Jackets look to continue to take control of the Sabres and push them around. The last two contests has the Blue Jackets outscoring the Blue and Gold 10-1. The way the offense has been playing lately, its very likely the gap will be just as large in tonights game.
Thankfully for the Sabres, the Jackets are on a skid, and the Buffalo Sabres should have the energy to play their Western Conference foes form the next state over.
Drew Stafford returns to the lineup tonight, and Gerbe will be upgraded to the top line. I always thought you had to earn top line spots – nothing in Gerbe’s play this year as proven he is worthy of a lineup spot anywhere in the top six forwards.
