Much is being said about the Buffalo Sabres and a push to making the playoffs for the 2010-2011 campaign. The thing with sneaking into the playoffs is, despite the feel good cinderella stories, the highest seed to ever win a Stanley Cup has been the New Jersey Devils, and that was in a lockout year (fifth seed).
Would you rather miss the playoffs for a better draft position, or have at least four more games to watch? I wouldn’t mind losing in the first round of the playoffs, if the team showed up and actually got beat, not like last year where we were a mere speed bump in Boston’s way.
Does it make a difference to you if you lose to the eventually champions? Does it hurt more knowing that if you had just beaten them maybe it was your year? Leave a comment and let me know!
