Your Morning Sabres 1/27/11

Good morning! I hope all of you are still warm and snug in your beds, but for us workin’ folk we’re off to the real world now.

I quickly wanted to comment on the Sabres lack of representation in the All-Star weekend. Personally, I don’t feel like the Sabres got snubbed. I think Derek Roy would have probably gotten selected if it wasn’t for his untimely injury that has pretty much ruled him out for the rest of the season. The next possible candidate may have been Thomas Vanek. Vanek has been the team’s most consistent player, but he still hasn’t done anything noteworthy to get named to the All-Star team. Now, the Sabres aren’t  completely unrepresented in Raleigh, NC. Rookie Tyler Ennis will be making an appearance in the NHL superskills competition– possibly the only highlight of the weekend.

I don’t know about you, but the last time I really cared about a NHL All-Star game was when Fox had the glowing puck effect.
