What a wild All-Star weekend, no? Alright, I’m kidding. Personally, I watched very little of the game last night and shut the skills competition off once they started to do the “relay race”– or as I call it, practice.
Despite my clear disdain for the All-Star weekend, I was still compelled to wait and watch to see what Tyler Ennis was going to compete in. First, I declared he must be doing the fastest skater. Tyler Ennis is prided for his quick skating ability– I was wrong. Then, I decided it’s obvious he must be doing the shootout, but again, I was incorrect. Finally, after I was incorrect twice, I saw him; the minimal representation for the Sabres. Unfortunately, Tyler Ennis was part of the most boring part of the whole skills competition– the relay race. After awaiting patiently I got to see Tyler Ennis skate through some poorly crafted cones that were shaped as Gatorade bottles. Worst of all, it lasted a generous 20 seconds!
Regardless of the time, I was still happy to see Ennis out there, but I can’t say I watched much All-Star action after that.
