A win tonight becomes more crucial thanks to a Toronto victory over the Penguins. Sabres currently sit two points out from a playoff spot. If Buffalo wins in regulation tonight against Carolina, then the Sabres will be tied with the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference with 69 points. But because Buffalo has two games in hand, the Sabres would unseat eighth seed Hurricanes. If Buffalo comes out of Raleigh with a loss, Carolina gains some breathing room. Toronto also has a chance to inch up the standings with a victory tonight against the Flyers. The Maple Leafs currently sit two points behind the Sabres with 65 points. Buffalo still has two games in hand on both Toronto and Carolina.
To Philadelphia Flyer’s fans: throw as many waffles on the ice as possible! We’ll take care of Carolina tonight! Puck drops at 7 p.m. on MSG and WGR550!
