Good teams find ways to win. Simple enough.
Unfortunately last night the Sabres didn’t win despite several missed chances (Thomas Vanek). Although, I can’t complain about the style of the game nor can I complain about the Sabres effort, I still feel like good teams find ways to win in tight games like that.
Sure, I can blame that game on Ryan Miller– who let a softee in during the OT, but it wasn’t all Miller’s fault. The Sabres had several chances to finish the ‘Canes off throughout the night. It didn’t help that every time the Sabres buried the biscuit, the ‘Canes came right back with one of their own.
Well, like Tim said, it wasn’t a must win, but it sure would have been nice to be sitting in 8th place right now, instead of being on the outside looking in.
