Instead of focusing on how to beat Ryan Miller in game 5, the Philadelphia Flyers are using their vocal cords to try and sway the actions of the referees in their home building tonight. We will see tonight how that will fly.
If the Buffalo Sabres can continue to play their game, and frustrate the Philadelphia Flyers – then they have a chance to come back to Buffalo with the ability to clinch the series at home in six games.
Goaltending will continue to be the issue for both teams. Last game, Boucher and Miller put on a clinic that was sensational to see. I would expect to see more of the same. What the Sabres need to do to be more successful is to get more traffic in front of the net, and get Boucher off his game, so Laviolette will continue his dramatic goaltender shuffle. We know that no amount of poor play will remove Ryan Miller from the nets this post season, so the Sabres will need him to stand on his head yet again to match the competition at the other end.
On offense, our key guys have to take the puck to the net. So many times I see the Flyers hem us in our own end and get the puck moving as a cohesive unit. How many times do we see one Sabres player trying to take the line and the defensive corp all on his own.
Penalty killers have to be ready for tonights contest. The post game festivities from Wednesday night are going to carry over to tonights Good Friday matchup.
Keep your rolaids close at hand, its going to be another close one.
