Sabres Win Preseason Opener

There is normally a few more practices before teams start playing one another in exhibition contests, so the first 30 minutes of this game was knocking the off season rust off for both the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes.  Despite the fact that the game was “practice” and many starters saw little or no ice time, the Buffalo Sabres won the third period of the game, cruising to a 3-1 win over the ‘Canes.

The Sabres continue their preseason schedule.  Next on the slate is Montreal in Montreal on Wednesday.
