It is no secret that the Sabres have struggled mightily at home this season, but we are in a new month and it is time to turn things around for the better here in Hockey Heaven. The Sabres best month statistically is December and I hope they keep that stat alive and well this season. They need to start winning in front of their home fans and what better way to start it off then to pull out a victory tonight against Ville Leino’s former team. Tonight’s game will be a tough one for the Sabres, the Flyers are the best team in the league on the road so far this season, they have 19 points away from home. The Sabres are 1-4-1 in their last 6 games inside the F’N Center, they need to figure out why it has been so hard to win at home and fix it fast.

In order for the Sabres to win tonight they are going to have to find a way to control Claude Giroux who is among the leagues leading scorers, he has 4 goals in the last 4 games. Of course Danny Briere is always a threat when he comes to Buffalo. Ryan Miller will be in net tonight and he will be looking to have a better start then he did in November, Saturday in Nashville he looked like the 2010 Olympic MVP. Luke Adam has been a pleasant surprise for the Sabres this season, he is third on the team in scoring and has 3 goals and 1 helper in the last 4 games. He is among the top rookies in scoring.

This will be the last meeting between the two clubs until Febraury 16.
