For the 13th time in the last 16 games, the Buffalo Sabres lost. This time, to the hands of the Winnipeg Jets, 4-1. The Sabres could only muster one goal against a team missing their top two defensemen.
The Sabres have lost the first 4 games of their 7 game road trip, by a combined score of 19-5. Pathetic. The consecutive road losses are now in double digits, and this is one of the worst Sabres rosters that I have seen in my lifetime.
There isn’t much more to say than that. Same team, same staff, same results. Even owner Terry Pegula has fallen into the trap of accepting excuses, rather than demanding accountability.
The Sabres losing streak will be resuming on Saturday, against a St. Louis Blues team that has been hot since changing coaches- something that the Sabres brass apparently deems out of the question.
