The Bandits are Buffalo’s best team year after year and the start to this season has been no different. Buffalo opened their season last Saturday night at home against the Toronto Rock and Banditland was rocking, all 15,800 of us. The beginning of every Bandits season is the start of a possible Championship run and they got off to the right start with a win over the Rock.

Now those of you who aren’t familiar with the National Lacrosse League or lacrosse in general, I’ll break it down for you. It’s a lot like hockey, same number of guys, types of penalties, and length of penalties. It’s has the type of schedule as the NFL, playing only on the weekends, but there is an odd weekend or two when they play back to back games. I’ll get into more informational detail during the NHL All-Star break.

The Bandits played last night in Rochester against their bitter Western New York rival Knighthawks and it was a hard fought battle by both teams, as it always is.
