I really needed the Buffalo Sabres to win by three goals or more. I really didn’t want to have to squeeze into a t-shirt that was originally purchased for a girl have my size. But – a bet’s a bet, and I will fulfill my end of the bargain. I wouldn’t look forward to that post when it gets published. I am hoping the USPS loses that package in the mail.
It took a little over 60 minutes for the Buffalo Sabres to dispatch with the Carolina Hurricanes. While the ‘Canes are deep without hope of making the post season, the Sabres should be trying to win all their games in regulation, just so they don’t have to play more hockey than they have to with the compacted March schedule.
The Buffalo Sabres and Kristina’s ego are not the only ones that won last night with the Sabres victory. Always the cheerful giver, Kristina is walking in an MDA Muscle Walk in honor of a special friend of hers who left us this past October. I have donated $26 dollars to help Kristina achieve her goal of raising $250 for the cause. If you have the means, lets show her that the Buffalo Sabres fans are as all bad as she thinks, even if you can make the $14 dollar donation, it goes to a great cause. You can donate to Kelly’s fund by following this link here.
I was able to catch the final 20 minutes of the game, and despite some bad non-calls by the refs, the Buffalo Sabres were able to hold onto defeat the Hurricanes in overtime. Points are points, and while the Sabres should try to avoid three point games against Eastern Conference teams, the Sabres are closer to making their own destiny. If the Sabres can creep into the final playoff spot, there is no reason why they can’t hold onto it.
The most important thing that can happen for the Sabres tonight is a Winnipeg loss, and a Sabres regulation victory. That will bring the Sabres into a tie for the final playoff spot. Out of town scoreboard watchers should also be hoping for a single Tampa Bay overtime victory. While that will bring the Bolts two points closer to the Sabres, it will keep Washington out of the tie for eighth place as well.

Full time father, husband and Buffalo Sabres fan. Started writing with Fansided back when the network only covered the NFL. Launched Sabrenoise.com as the first non-NFL site. Haven't looked back since. If you have any questions or comments on the site please email me at [email protected] I'm a wear white at home, blank sweater wearing fan, non laces type guy. I can't see spending money on a sweater with a guys name on it when he might not be around long enough to wear it out. If I am going to get a name on a sweater, its gonna be an old white home sweater, with either an 11 or a 7 on it.
