Recently posted in the Buffalo News is an article by John Vogl, written in response to the comments by Vancouver Canuck’s GM Mike Gillis about Cody’s “problems.” Here is the link to the full article: Buffalo News
In the article, Vogl explains how three years ago, Cody suffered a back injury that happened to go unnoticed by the Brampton Batallion’s and Canuck’s medical staff, claiming a bulging disc which wouldn’t be a problem. Hodgson played through the pain and his stats suffered greatly. This is when Cody began paying visits to former Stanley Cup Champ and Masterson Trophy winner Gary Roberts to train each summer. For three years, Cody has trained with Roberts and according to Roberts, he has improved by leaps and bounds and is a future number one center and star in this league. Roberts has trained the likes of Steven Stamkos, James Neal and Jeff Skinner, and he has nothing but rave reviews for the 22 yr old future star. For more, please refer to the article.
