TSN Play Of The Year: Tyler Ennis

Kevin Hoffman-US PRESSWIRE

The TSN Play of the year fan voting continues!  While there is no saying that you can’t head over to the voting site now and vote for non-Sabres entries, you should mark you calenders for Tuesday May 29, 2012.

That is when Tyler Ennis goes back on the voting block in the semi-final matchup.

Ennis’ goal on March 12th against the Montreal Canadiens has made it through three rounds so far and is set to take on Ondrej Pavalec of the Winnipeg Jets for the Semifinals.

So far Ennis has beaten out goals by Shawn Thorton, Benoit Pouliot, and Evgeni Malkin to make it this far.

Here is the play by Ennis that has gotten him TSN spotlighted in the fan voting tournament.

Pavelec made news in 2010 when he collapsed on the ice during a matchup with the Washington Capitals when the Jets were still playing in Atlanta. Taken off the ice on a stretcher – he returned to continue his NHL career with a clean bill of health after recieving a concussion on the play. This year he made headlines with this save on the Philadelphia Flyers Jakub Voracek.
