MacIntyre Signs in KHL

For the second time in just as many weeks, a now-former member of the Buffalo Sabres organization is headed to the KHL, as goaltender Drew MacIntyre signed with HC Lev today.MacIntyre signed with the same team his Amerks teammate Paul Szczechura signed with recently.

He struggled as the backup goaltender in Rochester this season, playing in just 23 games and going for long stretches of time without seeing any action. The Sabres recalled him for two games, where he played a total of fourty-three minutes and had 17 saves and a 1.38 GAA.

His GAA during the time with Rochester this past season was a 3.19.

Originally drafted by Detroit in 2001, he also spent time with the Canucks, Predators, Thrashers and Canadiens organizations.
