Buffalo Sabres Release 2012 Pre Season Schedule

- Â Kevin Hoffman-US PRESSWIRE
Well hockey fans, you can actually mark your calenders for when actual hockey returns to the First Niagara Center as the Buffalo Sabres have announced their 2012 Pre Season Schedule!
Â
September 24th, 2012 the Buffalo Sabres will kick off the 2012-2013 campaign with an exhibition contest against the
Montreal Canadiens. The Buffalo Sabres will play four away contests and three home contests to test the depth of the organization and allow Lindy Ruff and staff to whittle the team down to the opening night roster.Â
Â
The first pre season game will be a 730PM tilt, all other games will be 7PM. The full schedule of games:
Â
Monday Sept. 24 @Montreal
Wednesday Sept 26 Boston
Friday Sept 28 Toronto
Saturday Sept 29 @ Toronto
Tuesday Oct 2 @ Columbus
Friday Oct 5 @ Boston
Saturday Oct 6 Columbus
Â
TIcket information and pricing for pre season games will be released by the organization at a later date.  While the preseason doesn’t give fans much of a chance to see regular season action - it is another opportunity for fans to flock to the foot of Washington Street to enjoy some five on five action, and see some of the prospects that we have heard so much about. And who knows, could there be a surprise move at training camp that shakes up the roster? Is there a prospect that is going to work so hard this summer that Lindy can’t say no to them wearing blue and gold on opening night?
Â
If the Sabres make a splash in free agency at the draft – what new name might we be pining for to see take to the ice with our already favorite Buffalo Sabres?
