It is being reported that Shane Doan has worked out a deal with the Phoenix Coyotes.  He has not signed a deal, but has come to terms on a contract.

Doan has set a deadline for September 15th, stating: “”I will be signed by midnight on the 15th,” Doan said. “I’ll sign somewhere. … My goal is to sign here.”  With a new deal worked out between Phoenix, that means he is just waiting for Greg Jamison to sign the purchase papers and finally take ownership of the team.  Jamison has been cleared by both the league and the city to purchase the team.  The only thing holding him back now is the lease agreement with the City of Glendale.  Of this, Doan said: “I want everything to be done and over with.  I want the team to be sold, I want Mr. Jamison to be the owner, and I want us to be excited about the upcoming year.”

Doan has also stated that, of the teams interested in him, there are only two or three he would consider signing with.

With only one more week left till he makes his decision, where do you think Shane Doan will sign?
