Rochester Americans Game Night: Grand Rapids Griffins

It’s a one and done visit tonight for the Grand Rapids Griffins as they make their only appearance in Rochester to play the Amerks this season.  The Amerks are hoping that being back at home will help snap the current two game skid they are on and rebound moving towards the rest of the season.

Late game heroics by the red white and blue have been unable to salvage wins in the last two contests, with empty net goals sealing deals against Toronto and Binghamton.

If your a Time Warner Cable Customer – you can watch tonights contest at 7:05 – as TWC will broadcast the game on channel 26.

Just as it looked like Rochester would have to retool their rosters like every other AHL roster – CBA negotiations falling apart keeps prospects and players pinned to AHL affiliates.

While the Amerks are looking to snap a losing skid and get more points in the W column, Detroit’s affiliate is still searching for their first win on the young season.
