Cody Hodgson and company skate into Hamilton to close out the home and home series against the Bulldogs tonight in the Copps Coliseum. Last night the Rochester Americans defeated the Bulldogs in a shootout to take a 2-0-0 series lead against a team they will play a total of twelve times this year.
Game time is set for 7PM and the game can only be heard on Sports Talk 1280.
The Rochester Americans are tied for the league in goal scoring with 36 goals through their contests so far. Scoring first has been especially helpful for the red, white, and blue, they are a perfect 3-0-0 when netting the first goal, and are a perfect 4-0-0 when leading after two periods of play. Last night’s contest saw the leading after two, but allowing two in the 3rd to send it to overtime.
While Mikhail Grigorenko is torching the minor leagues waiting for his chance to break into the NHL; Zemgus Girgensons scored his first professional goal last nigt – albeit on a delayed reaction, as the goal was first awarded to Alex Biega.
