If the Rochester Americans proved against the Syracuse Crunch that the loss of NHL caliber players due to the end of the lockout was going to hurt them, they quickly turned the tides on the Hamilton Bulldogs, bettering their record against the dogs to 5-1-0 on the season.
Four different Rochester players had two point nights, including rookie Zemgus Girgensons, Luke Adam and captain Kevin Porter. T.J. Brennan continued towards history with a goal for the Rochester Americans.
David Leggio improved to 5-0 against the Bulldogs on the season having a relatively easy night, only have to turn away seventeen shots. For one of the American Hockey Leagues most utilized goaltenders – seventeen shots on a night where he is use to double that seems like a walk in the park, despite letting two goals in.
T.J. Brennan continues to scorch score sheets in the AHL – adding another goal and getting one step closer to the 40 year old Amerks record. The start of the NHL season and Brennan’s most likely elevation to the Buffalo Sabres may be the only thing standing between him and having his name etched in history.
Rochester now travels East in a rematch against the Syracuse Crunch tonight – looking for retribution and revenge against a team that put five up on them in their barn.
