Is A Split Acceptable For the Buffalo Sabres Against The Carolina Hurricanes

All signs are pointing for Jhonas Enroth to start in net tonight for the Buffalo Sabres, with Ryan Miller resuming his duties in the crease for tomorrow nights home tilt against the Carolina Hurricanes.

In a normal season, Lindy Ruff would be happy with a split in back-to-back games, especially this early in the season.

With the Buffalo Sabres burning the offensive brightly through two games, and the Carolina Hurricanes sputtering at a light mist instead of a tropical storm – one would think that the team is looking to go in and knock the Carolina Hurricanes into a 0-4 whole to start the season.

Jhonas Enroth has the ability to step in on any given night and back stop the Buffalo Sabres to a win.  Ryan Miller appears to be in zen form, calm, cool, composed and unphased by distractions both on and off the ice early in this shortened season.

Buffalo currently sits tied in the Northeast with the Ottawa Senators, both with 2-0 records.  The Boston Bruins have two wins and a loser point, putting themselves atop the division.  Boston is off tonight, but the Ottawa Senators are up against the Florida Panthers.  A Florida and Buffalo win is obviously most favorable.
