It appears that tonights lineup will be a little different than what we are used to.
Enroth comes into the game tonight riding an eleven game losing streak that dates back to last season. He was also less than stellar when he played the third period against the Montreal Canadiens in relief of Ryan Miller.
The Buffalo Sabres need to rely on defense tonight when they go into Ottawa, and by relying on defense I mean they need to outscore and out gun the Ottawa Senators.
With Tyler Myers and Jordan Leopold playing like scared rookies in a foreign land – the team was relying on Christian Erhoff to log a substantial amount of ice time. That ice time might be taking its toll, as Erhoff is likely not going to play today, after leaving the ice after just a few strides to test his sore muscles.
It’s a good thing that Darcy Regier called upon Adam Pardy to take the ride from Rochester to Buffalo. Pardy will be inserted into the lineup tonight. If he can show the team he can outplay any of the veterans that are currently manning the blue line, talks of trade may surface before too long.
Leopold may need tonight to get his creative, offensive, and defensive juices flowing – he led the Buffalo Sabres against the Ottawa Senators last year with three goals and six points.
Jhonas Enroth will start in goal for the Sabres against the Senators. “We need a big effort,” coach Lindy Ruff said.

I think getting a big game out of their little goaltender will help this team find some confidence – the slightest crack from their backup however will cause this team to crumble.
