Rochester Americans PreGame Skate: Abbotsford Heat

Last night the Abbotsford Heat took a 3-2 decision over the Rochester Americans, stopping the red hot Amerks in their tracks, and ending a five game winning streak.

The two teams will be right back at it tonight, as they face off in the second game of a back to back series at 10PM.

Frederick Roy and Nick Tarnasky scored for the Amerks, but were unable to keep their season high streak alive.

Tonights contest gives them the ability to attempt to keep from starting a losing streak, and getting back on the horse to starting another winning streak.

Rochester can afford to go all in for tonights contest and leave nothing left on the ice.  Despite being far away from home for the affair – the Amerks don’t return to the ice again until Feburary 12th- Fat Tuesday – against the Lake Erie Monsters.

With last nights win, Abbotsford now holds a one game advantage, 3-2 in the season series.  Tonight is the sixth meeting between the two teams.  They will face off two more times before the end of the season.
