There have been very few bright spots on the Buffalo Sabres radar since the start of the 2012-2013 season.
One of those bright spots was the offensive punch in the face to the Boston Bruins on January 31st.
The last time these two teams met, the offensive explosed for 7 goals, and the Boston Bruins could only muster 4. It wasn’t so much as the Bruins played like crap – the Sabres just caught the B’s sleeping.
It will forever be remember as the “Timeout Heard Round Boston”.
It appears that Tyler Myers won’t be a gaurantee to get back into the lineup, after being a healthy scratch during the last Buffalo Sabres game = which just happened to be a win. Myers playing will be a game time decision.
So long as the Sabres stay healthy and keep winning, coach Lindy Ruff is in no hurry to find Tyler Myers a home in the lineup.
The Boston Bruins are fresh – they should have been coming off a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, a game which the league postponed because of the state of emergency declared because of Winter Storm Nemo. It was questionable as to whether or not the Bruins would be able to get out of Boston to play the Sabres today.
Buffalo is coming off a victory in which they were able to hold off the New York Islanders – after coming from behind against the Montreal Canadiens. A win against Boston creates the teams first 3 game winning streak. Buffalo is 4-0-1 in its last five home games against the Bruins.
Game time is scheduled for 7PM.
