Jason Pominville Trade Confirmed

Finally an official confirmation.  While we have waiting for word, it is no surprise that the Buffalo Sabres have traded Jason Pominville.

Buffalo also parts ways with a 4th round draft pick in next years draft class.

In return the Buffalo Sabres will receive.

Goalie Matt Hackett.  Hackett has been with the Houston Aeros, and was a Minnesota third round draft selection in 2009.

Center Johan Larsson.  Larsson is a second round draft pick selected by the Minnesota Wild in the 2010 NHL entry draft.

The Buffalo Sabres will also get the first round draft pick from the Minnesota Wild in this years draft class, and the second round draft pick from Minnesota in next years draft.

I think DR did well with what he brought back in this trade. Both players a very young and the draft picks are stellar. Great Job.

How many 2nd rounders is this now for next year?

The Sabres are already morphing into the Amerks – how many guys now from Rochester coaching/playing who weren’t here the day Lindy was fired?

Pommers is a good guy, a skill player, but always avoided contact. No wonder why he was rarely injured….
