With only five games left in the regular season, the Buffalo Sabres are in danger of entering yet another offseason filled with questions of, “What went wrong?”, “Should Darcy Regier stay, or should he go?” and “Why the hell is American Idol still on the air?”  With those questions in mind, today’s daily dasherboard brings you the following.

. . . while SB Nation focuses on the man whom I would like to see win the Vezina Trophy this year.

I don’t know about you, but I had high hopes for the Edmonton Oilers this year.  So much for that!  Bleacher report attempts to predict what the next five years will be like for some of the Oilers’ young talent.

And speaking of the next five years – have you forgotten about the new NHL realignment plan that will take affect beginning next year?  Here’s a neat little piece that shows you what the NHL playoff picture would look like if the realignment plan was already in affect.
