Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

And so ends the mockery that was an end of the year press conference.  I had just two thoughts on yesterday’s presser at First Niagara Center.  One – did the media really expect a different set of answers out of this team with those tactics?  (Not all media were openly volatile against the team).  And did the team really have to get hostile right back?

Jerry Sullivan was one of the media that fired shots across the bow of the organization, and rightfully so.  he cuts in on the patience and suffering factor in today’s article.  [Buffalo News].

John Vogl of the Buffalo News gives a much more benign recap of the press conference, to include the entire audio file where you can hear Jerry Sullivan, Mike Harrington and Ted Black get quite vocal with one another.  [Buffalo News].

Yes – you heard right.  Darcy Regier will remain the vision of the Buffalo Sabres through next season at a minimum.  [Puck Daddy].

Buffalo will select eighth overall in the 2013 Entry Draft.  [Die By The Blade].

Yes – you heard right.  Ticket prices are going up again.  [WIVB].

Who is the odds on favorite to win the Stanley Cup? [Bleacher Report].

Yes – Ted Black was the better man and apologized to Mike Harrington and Jerry Sullivan for lashing back at them for the way they asked their questions.
