It’s Friday!  Friday!  Gotta get down on Friday.

Lord, how I hate that song.  Yet, in it’s own insipid, idiotic, and soul-sucking way, Rebecca Black’s tribute to today does capture the excitement we feel as the weekend approaches.

Sort of.

Let’s look at the world of sports (all right, the world of hockey) on Beer Day, I mean Friday!

Round two of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs is on, and you know who won’t be enjoying round two of the playoffs?  San Jose’s Raffi Torres, who has been banned from the entire second round for his hit on LA’s Jarret Stoll. Bleacher Report believes it is Torres’ reputation, not the hit, that caused this suspension.

Speaking of players making disappearing acts, Bleacher Report offers a look at the biggest no-shows of the playoffs so far.

Remember when playoff hockey was in Buffalo?  Hockey Buzz does.  Here’s a short little piece that discusses season ticket prices and has a little poll for you to take.

The aftershock of Toronto’s epic game 7 loss against Boston is still resonating through Canada.  TSN offers some insight as to how the Leafs’ players feel, and how the organization will try to move on.

Once the NHL playoffs end, the offseason begins, with the draft and free-agency giving fans of teams such as the Buffalo Sabres reason to believe that next year will be the year!  Bleacher Report targets one player that each team should consider, and their picks are a bit of a mixed bag.

The Hockey News also looks ahead to next season, with ten boom-or-bust players for the 2013-2014 NHL season.

Enjoy the final day of the work week (for most of us), and enjoy (if you dare!) Miss Black’s catchy/revolting ode!
