Well, the NHL Conference Finals are underway!  If you’re a fan of the four teams still playing, bully for you!  If you’re not, then the playoffs may have lost their appeal for you.  Have no fear – the draft is coming up fast.  Your first link of the day, then, is to the Fansided site Too Many Men on the Site, where you can enjoy the mock draft being done by the editors of our Fansided NHL sites.  Look for the first Sabre Noise pick to be up Tuesday!

Bleacher report also did a mock draft, in case you missed it.  Sure, it’s not a brand new link, but it’s interesting to see who they think the Sabres should draft.  Personally, I don’t agree.

Also related to the draft: b/r’s opinion of the winners, and the losers, from the 2013 NHL combine.

The last of my bleacher report links today looks ahead to NHL players who look primed to have a breakout season in 2013-2014.  Yes, there is a Sabres player on this list!

With the draft comes talk of wheeling and dealing in order to improve where teams will ultimately wind up picking.  Hockey Buzz has a nice piece on some teams who Buffalo might want to consider speaking with as draft day approaches.

I close this post with a short piece by Michelle Kwak over at SI.com, in which she discusses the length of the playoffs.  Couldn’t agree more, Michelle!
