Could we possibly see two sweeps in the conference finals?  What a way for the Los Angeles Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins to flame out of the Stanley Cup Finals.

More importantly – what is going on at the foot of Washington Street when it comes to rebuilding the Buffalo Sabres?

The Buffalo Sabres are going to be invited back to the Traverse City Tournament to defend their 2011 victory.  This past seasons tournament was the first victim of the lockout.  Can the Sabres repeat?  [Sabres 101].

Could the Buffalo Sabres be targetting the number two selection currently held by the Florida Panthers?  Dave Tallon says they are open to hearing offers, but are not actively shopping the pick.  [My NHL Trade Rumors].

We already have Minnesota’s number one pick this year, and  the Wild are looking for a number one goalie.  Could the Buffalo Sabres be offering Ryan Miller?  [Hockey Buzz].

The Boston Bruins have the Pittsburgh Penguins right where they want them – down 2-0 in the series, and reeling from a Boston Bitch Slap offensively.  If Minnesota is looking for a new number one goalie – they may have to contend with the Pittsburgh Penguins in getting a bona-fide starter.  [Chicago Tribune].
