You know how, some Thursdays, you look at the clock, see how late it is, and say, “Ya know what?  Tomorrow’s Friday, baby!  Let’s keep this night alive!”

Yep – that was my Thursday night, as I went to see the midnight premier of the new Man of Steel movie.  I’m working on three hours of sleep, if that, but it’s all good because it’s Friday!!!!  Let’s do this . . . and then take a nap.

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals is tomorrow night.  Bleacher report previews the game by breaking down the biggest questions heading into game 2.

Many people are already calling game 1 of these Finals a modern classic.  Only time will tell if this game earns the “classic” title.  Meanwhile, check out b/r’s look at the 20 most unforgettable moments in Stanley Cup Finals history to relive some truly classic memories!

I’m not sure if game 2 will compare to the epic madness of game 1, but part of the fun is seeing how each team will react and adjust to the events of he first game.  Stu Hackel over at gives his perspective on the keys to success for game 2.

Meanwhile, over at TSN Jonas Siegel believes that the Bruins will not be rattled by their triple-overtime loss.  We’ll know come tomorrow night!

Shifting gears: by now most of you know about Buffalo Sabres Director of Amateur Scouting Kevin Devine’s loose-lipped comments about the possibility of Buffalo making a blockbuster trade with the Colordao Avalanche that would secure the Sabres the top pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.  Head over to Hockey Buzz to see whether Garth thinks this is just wishful thinking, or whether there is potential for this pipe dream to become reality.

Big news in Pittsburgh, as the Penguins dashed everyone’s foolish hopes of luring Evgeni Malkin away from Steeltown.  Drat.

Finally, I close with a sad story that comes out of Dallas.  I’m sure we’ll be reading more about this story as details are made available.
