Daily Dasherboard, 4th of July Edition

We here at Sabre Noise would like to wish all of you ‘Muricans a happy 4th of July!  Throw a BBQ party.  Do some laps in the pool (your neighbors’ pool will do in a pinch, if you don’t have one).  Drink some beer.  Lots and lots of beer, as per my survival guide.  Most importantly, have some fun before you have your hopes of landing a big-time free agent dashed on the rocky shores of Lake Erie.

Onto the links!

The free agent game officially begins tomorrow!  Who are some of the most significant players who will become available as of midnight tonight?  Check them out! [Bleacher Report]

Different writers have different takes.  Here’s another b/r writer, giving you his stock report on the available free agents.

But wait – I’m not finished with Bleacher Report yet!  Here’s their attempt to provide a perfect match for every every NHL team.   I like the choice for Buffalo – very optimistic.

Wanna feel like me and be on top of all the trade rumors and free agent dealings?  You know you do!  Head here, often!  [My NHL Trade Rumors]

I also make it a point to stop in to this site at least once a day for all of the rumors. [Hockey Buzz]

When it comes to looking at the free agents who the Buffalo Sabres might be interested in, Garth at Hockey Buzz is very active.   I don’t always agree with who he feels the Sabres should pursue, but this time I think he makes a good point.

Again: different authors, different perspectives on who the Sabres should pursue in the free agent market.  [Die By The Blade]

Last, but not least, Die By The Blade examines the new trend that seems to be taking over in the 716.

Enjoy your freedom, Sabres fans!!!!!!!!

      Thanks for the read!

Stastny, hmmm? If you read my column on five possible trade scenarios for Miller, I view Colorado as a sleeper. They have not said much about trades as of right now, and they have made a few statements about not moving Stastny. I’m actually writing a post as we speak about some of the possible trade partners the Sabres should consider; I’ll ask around and see if Colorado has dropped any hints about Stastny. I’m inclined to believe they have to move one of their forwards, in order to get either a quality goalie or solid blueliner!

I feel that Colorado may be our best option because of Roy’s want of a quality veteran starter and the fact that him and Darcy have a good relation ship but they can’t ask for and arm at this point just settle with a pick and a player Or prospect
