Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

You know what I intensely dislike, readers?

Yard sales.  Especially when I am forced to sit outside and man one for six straight hours, only to realize that nobody wants my junk, either.

Seriously: my junk is better than most of the people’s “nice” stuff.

Anyway, if you’re as bored as I am, check out these links!

With so little news breaking in the NHL these days, what we’re finding on the Internet is speculation.  A whole lot of speculation.  For example: who will win the Calder Trophy for the 2013-2014 season?  [Bleacher Report]

Over at Hockey Buzz, we have dueling blogs!  One writer thinks that Thomas Vanek should demand a trade . . .

. . .  while another writer finds this idea to be preposterous, due to the salary cap.   [Hockey Buzz]

Most US hockey fans will tell you that ESPN is NOT the place to go for hockey coverage.  Here’s a little piece by Allan Muir that shows just how much – or how little – ESPN cares about hockey, relative to other sports.  [Sports Illustrated]  You know, I really don’t care for ESPN, but damn it if I don’t keep their app on my phone!

Want more hockey in Buffalo?  How about the USHL? [Die By The Blade]

Finally: the saga of Madison Square Garden.  [Bleacher Report]  I know MSG has relocated numerous times, but not in my lifetime.  It will be a bit of shock for me if it has to move.

Hope I cured a little weekend boredom, and enjoy your Saturday!
