July is rolling to a close, and August is upon us.  That means hockey related action is just a month away.  Teams are still looking at the free agents remaining, and shoring up their rosters for training camp.  Select teams are preparing for the Traverse City Tournament.

Speaking of free agents, recently bought out Buffalo Sabres forward Nathan Gerbe didn’t take long to find a new home, signing a one year deal with the Carolina Hurricanes.  Of course its a two way deal – but he’s still playing right?  [News Observer].
