It’s Monday! The greatest day of the week! The day on which you get to rush back to work, as excited as a kid in a candy store, to regale your co-workers with stories of your weekend and to do whatever menial, mindless job your boss gives you with a smile on your face and love in your heart!
That’s what your job WANTS you to think, but we all know what’s up: Mondays are terrible. At least you have me providing you with the day’s links!
So here they are!
I’m sure you’ve all heard about how the NHL is looking to increase scoring by shrinking the size of some goalie equipment. Interesting. Here’s a look at some of the goalies who may be the most affected by such a change. [Bleacher Report] Have some fun: find the goalie who doesn’t belong on this list! (Uh, the author even comes right out and says it, curiously enough.)
Puck Daddy has been busy rolling out its National Hockey League of Nations series, so here’s a general link to the site, so you can scroll down and see which teams they have featured recently.
Meanwhile, here’s a link to an article on why the NHL is lucky to have Gary Bettman! [Puck Daddy] Ha ha ha! Wait – they’re serious?!?
Last week marked the 25th anniversary of the Wayne Gretzky trade, as you all know, so I’ll close today with two final links to consider. One is a slideshow of famous athletes who were traded while they were still in their prime . . .
. . . and the other comes from Stu Hackel, who documents how most of the world pretended that the Gretzky trade was never going to happen, even when it was obvious that it was. [Both links courtesy of Sports Illustrated]
