Everybody’s working for the weekend!

Ah, Loverboy.  As crappy as they were, have truer words regarding the weekend ever been spoken, or sung?  I argue, nay.  It’s shaping up to be a

beautiful weekend where I am, which means I just jinxed everyone within a 100-mile radius of me.

Oh well – at least I have . . . the links!

Did you notice how Daniel Alfredsson went public and explained his reasons for leaving Ottawa for Detroit the other day?  Naturally, the Ottawa Senators have a response. [TSN] Thanks for spicing up the offseason, guys!!!

I have always suspected that the game of golf was invented by evil creatures; here’s more proof!  [TSN] Yes, I know: it’s been a slow August.

It’s never too early for NHL power rankings – never, I say!  Here’s one. [Bleacher Report] Good news: Buffalo isn’t at the very bottom! Moral victory!!!

Having recently review Rob Vollman’s Hockey Abstract, I am now far more comfortable with how statistical analysis is applied to the NHL.  As a result, I am starting to notice articles that focus on statistics more often than I used to, which is kind of neat.  Here’s a look at advanced statistics every NHL fan should know. [Bleacher Report]

Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, home of the New York Islanders, needs a facelift!  Check out some of the “celebrities” who are endorsing the cause.  [The Hockey News]

And last, but never, ever least: the Buffalo Sabres All-Star Team continues over at Die By The Blade.  Thanks, gents!

Hope your weekend was worth working for – enjoy!

I would like to get all the Sabres games live streamed on my computer this year. How do I go about that??

    • Richard Spalding

Do you live in the Sabres market? NHL Gamecenter is great but the Sabres games will be blacked out if you live in the area.

I live out of market… in Canada. Any idea as to the cost?? Approximate of course..

        • Richard Spalding

$150 I believe is what I pay for a full season. I rarely can catch Sabres games using it, because I technically live in the market, but for all out-of-market games, I almost always get to choose between the home or away feed. It’s so worth it.
