The Buffalo Sabres announced their roster for the upcoming 2013 NHL Prospects Tournament, held in Traverse City, Michigan from September 5 through 9. The Sabres will look to defend their title against prospects from several other NHL teams, including the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes.

Prospects of the Buffalo Sabres will face those from the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers in round-robin tournament play. Teams will then be seeded and will face off against a team in the other division, which hosts the Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues prospects and invitees.

Let’s take a closer look at the Buffalo Sabres prospects who will be representing the team at this year’s tournament.

Please note: Mark Pysyk and Mikhail Grigorenko are included in this slideshow. However, Grigorenko was deemed ineligible for the tournament, as he’s played 25 NHL games. Pysyk was eligible, but will not play.
